Quotes:
"To fear death is nothing other than to think oneself wise when one is not. For it is to think one knows what one does not know. No one knows whether death may not even turn out to be the greatest blessing of human beings. And yet people fear it as if they knew for certain it is the greatest evil." --Socrates
"The best way to get to heaven is to take it with you. " --Henry Drummond
"Love rules the camp, the court, the grove -- for love is Heaven, and Heaven is love.--Lord Byron
"It certainly seems like a good idea to talk about Heaven, meditate about Heaven and read about Heaven, because, after all, that's where we're going to spend eternity. It's an important place -- our eternal home. So it's only natural to want to know what it's like and what we're going to be like when we get there.--David Brandt Berg
We can enjoy Heaven now. We can have half of the enjoyment ahead of time by looking forward to it, thinking about it, reading about it and anticipating it.----David Brandt Berg
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others

Where is heaven?
Heaven to me is a way of exisiting more than it is a place...and that way of exisiting would be described as love!
If I say my loved ones and friends that have died...are in heaven...I think of them exisiting in everlasting love!
I see God in nature...where he is always speaking...I am tuned into
God when I am one with all the beauty
that surrounds me in nature!
lots more to ponder here!
Hoping your day is wonderful!
Margie
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting! This is a beautiful sky. For me it all comes down to love... I tend to agree with Lord Byron.
another beautiful and thought-provoking post.
love the nelson mandela quote.
"thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"
Please, Lord, clean the world and have your truth be seen by all as the only truth, as it is seen in Heaven.
That's one way of putting it.
Hey there, I just today noticed the comments you left on my blogs. Thanks. I dont know anyone who has a blog so I wasn;t really expecting any comments. Yea I guess most of my poems have a lot of poem because my life has but I also find it easier to write about love gone wrong and regrets and stuff like that. Kind of wierd. Like I said some of them are based on things in my life, well the majority while others not so much. Thanks again for the comments. Loving your blog by the way. I'm all about quotes and you have some great ones. and the Lord's Prayer with that added special line is great too.
God is Love.
But you already knew that.
Thank you everyone for leaving comments.
Rob
Perhaps God is a state of being.
If God is Love ... than if we feel and project Love ... then?
Margie ... it is that moment when we become one with nature ... is it then when we feel God and Heaven. We somehow open our doors and the feeling floods in.
I remember standing in the Cardinals Cathedral in Rome ... and listening to them singing in Latin ... it was as if I stood in a golden light and tears escaped from my eyes. Moments of Love.
Andrew,
If we are to say that God is all Perfect. Than, who made this world as it is today ... but man.
Maybe Heaven is also a state of mind. I like that Andrew have your truth be seen.
Blueberry... :o)
Polona, believe me your haiku's are also very thought provoking.
Thank you always for dropping by.
EVeryone have a wonderful day.
Marge ... your poems are beautiful.
