Not alone
There is no hollowness in my heart
For it is filled and leaden with an effulgence of love
A love that fills and spills dispersing droplets everywhere
Moment by moment your voice whispers and beckons
Your presence is felt as the breeze rushes past me
Like a spinning vortex of fragrant air
Slipping a kiss upon the warm softness of my lips
I am the seed You planted then watched me unfold
Like the gardener tending to his flower, nurturing its growth
The garden then became my home and sometimes …
I was lost in the illusions of the thickets and twisted thorns
Thorns that would imbed themselves into my mind twisting and turning
Like the blade of a knife, the stubborn ego
The throbbing and the aching of a disillusioned soul
Retaliating with judgements
The flag of truce waving in the whirlwind of madness
I held my arms outstretch towards You the gentle Gardener of the Universe
Then one day Your messenger arrived expressing Your Love for me
The fear has almost gone
Beneath the moonlight Your Shadow walks with me
Comforting me with Your cloak of safety
I am … not alone

Andrew,
Thank you. hugs.
Because i'm not religious i can't really relate to that poem, however.. i do like these lines:
Thorns that would imbed themselves into my mind twisting and turning /
Like the blade of a knife, the stubborn ego
That's a nice metaphore, i think.
