Do you have an addiction?
Does it rule your life?
Do you think that you could say 'No' to it for just one day?
What triggers the addiction off?

For each time we reach out and succumb to the addiction something in our mind has triggered it off.
I am just wondering through looking at some of our addictions, are we able to read something about ourselves. Is it not the addictions that are giving you a wake up call to see what perhaps needs attention to in your life. Maybe?

My addictions are - some of :o)

I play with my hair constantly when I write ... when I am thinking ... when watching tv.
I reach out for chocolate when I am sad ... and when I am happy
If I wear a woolen jumper I will constantly feel it ... sadness triggers this off. As if it were a comfort blanket

Why is it drug addicts and computer aficionados are both called users?
Clifford Stoll quotes

A moderate addiction to money may not always be hurtful; but when taken in excess it is nearly always bad for the health.
Clarence Day quotes

Virgo All charming people have something to conceal, usually their total dependence on the appreciation of others. - Cyril Connolly

Aquarius Some people are addicts. If they don't act, they don't exist. - Jeanne Moreau

Pisces All sins tend to be addictive, and the terminal point of addiction is what is called damnation. - W.H. Auden

Floots interesting that you put yesterday. We all seem to be addicted to the past ... when there is really only the now.

For me it's nature, painting, poetry...oh and did I mention the odd pot of black coffee...or two LOL
You are correct in assuming an addiction will show us an area in which we are lacking and use the addiction as a substitute. Thought-provoking post Trinitystar.

We all need to be heard
We all need to be noticed
We all want to be loved
We all want to love (and that love returned).

Are people addicted to life, or
Are mortals addicted to death?

Alas, being human is all about experiences, good experiences and bad - we are addicted to our share of them all - whether it be love of sun sand & sea, or whether it be love the spark between you & me

I am addicted to love. To the sensation of hearts that connect and leave me breathless!

I am addicted to touch. To feel the easiness of someone if only for a single moment awakes the romantic in me.

I am addicted ti idea if being in love. What better feeling can there be when one is in love.

Nice post Trinity, It makes us take down a part of ourselves and either like what we find, or choose to change it.

If only we could use a little more compassion, some dose of loving kindness, and lots of wisdom... I am sure this world could be a better place.

Happy 4th..
