Beautiful Mind!

The camera of my mind can encapsulate an image in time
This thing we call time, fragmented into years, months, and days
Is nothing more than a temporal clock ticking away in life
Yet, the mind has a memory that holds a life-time of images,
It can invoke the very feeling of happiness or sadness that one may have felt so long ago
This is the wonder of mind.

The God Theory

Quotes:

I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta quotes

Whatever you hold in your mind will tend to occur in your life. If you continue to believe as you have always believed, you will continue to act as you have always acted. If you continue to act as you have always acted, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. If you want different results in your life or your work, all you have to do is change your mind.

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people

I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process.

I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief

Indeed Trinity,
and we try to encapsulate Time
rather Time encapsulates our body
and even sometimes our Mind

The filters of the mind often enable us to romantisize past memories and past times ...

and yet some unwanted memories are not so easy to shake off, and others we find hard(er) to recall.

But indeed, all we are doing
is passing (killing) Time
in the Universal Mind -
Jim Morrison (The Doors)

Like actors in a play
we are sometimes 'forced' to play a part, a part we cannot escape
At other time we get lost in the part we are playing in the play!

"never mind" is traditional parental advice
"ever mind" gives better long-term consolation :)

The man with a toothache or the one waiting for his lover could tell you how LONG time seems. The man who has just glimpsed his inner soul could tell you how SHORT time is, in fact not there at all. Both have to pretend its existence in order to carry out trivial duties in life. The man who can do both is rare indeed.

I am the direcyor, writer of, THE EYES OF VAN GOGH, a full length film that was just released. Since you quote Vincent let me also quote him. Not long before he died he wrote in a letter to Theo,'I can very well live without religion and without God. The only thing I can't live without is my work.' He said other things earlier in his life about religion and God but this was his final statement on the matter. It pretty well sums up his feelings and mine as well. If your interested in more about Vincent[he is one of the most misunderstood painters in history], check out the Notes on my website. Theeyesofvangogh.com.

Lovely post!

But sometimes I feel God does give us things that we cant handle. Like when a loved-one dies...it's so hard to get over the grief.
