Are we in the eternal Dream?

eternal dream of the sleeping God by Peter Zelai

take a moment
to
pause
detatch
you
from the outside world
breathe
in
breathe
out
breathe
in
breathe
out
God is always with you.

Quotes

After sleeping through a hundred million centuries we have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet, sparkling with color, bountiful with life. Within decades we must close our eyes again. Isn’t it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief time in the sun, to work at understanding the universe and how we have come to wake up in it? This is how I answer when I am asked—as I am surprisingly often—why I bother to get up in the mornings.
Richard Dawkins quotes

You can close your eyes to the things you do not want to see, but you cannot close your heart to the things you do not want to feel.

Passion, it lies in all of us, sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead.

And we live and we sleep
and we dream in our sleep
and try to materialise our dreams
in our waking hours!

Perhaps you have heard that a bishop has just written a book "Do nothing to change your life" -

in which he recommends taking a few minutes to do nothing every day.

Great quotes....I am particularly struck by the one about not being able to shut out the heart's feelings.
