Pondering thoughts

To the questions of your life
you are the answer
To the problems of your life
you are the solutions.
by Jo Coudert
“You do not need to be loved, not at the cost of yourself. The single relationship that is truly central and crucial in a life is the relationship to the self. Of all the people you will know in a lifetime, you are the only one you will never lose.”

Hide behind the mask

In those special times
Have I not been like a blade of grass moving and bending gently in the breeze?
In those times when my ego was being bruised I still tried to please
Did I not try to make acceptance for my imperfections
Was I not happy to follow all your directions?
Did I not close my eyes and hold my tongue?
So as not to express any judgement when they were doing me wrong
Did I not try to look the other way with unseen tears in my eyes?
When truly it was only the Spirit that could hear my silent cries
As others laughed and ignored my shadow on the wall
In those times did I not try to walk with my head high and tall?
Did I not try to ignore the whispering of my name a thousand fold?
How alone I felt as if I were standing outside in the cold
Weaving your web to hold me down
I smiled with a mask the frown of a clown
I hid myself beneath the cloak of the night so that you could not see
How I long to be loved and long to set myself free
In my realization my error was to focus on you and your actions
When I should have been more aware of my re-actions
I thank you all for the opportunity that you have given me
As I travel forward on the spiritual life journey.

Beautiful Mind!

The camera of my mind can encapsulate an image in time
This thing we call time, fragmented into years, months, and days
Is nothing more than a temporal clock ticking away in life
Yet, the mind has a memory that holds a life-time of images,
It can invoke the very feeling of happiness or sadness that one may have felt so long ago
This is the wonder of mind.

“I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much.”
Mother Teresa of Calcutta quotes
“Whatever you hold in your mind will tend to occur in your life. If you continue to believe as you have always believed, you will continue to act as you have always acted. If you continue to act as you have always acted, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. If you want different results in your life or your work, all you have to do is change your mind.”

Life is like a game of snakes and ladders

I have lived my life like a lottery
Tossing the dice on the ocean waves
Within the surge and swell of mockery
How wonderful it is to wake up and not know
Like a game of snakes and ladders
What life will bring you today, its your throw
What would life be if we knew our future?
Without trial and error, nor experiences
Bland, plain, no colour, nor magical conjure
Enjoy life it is a joy.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

"The world is the house of the strong. I shall not know until the end what I have lost or won in this place, in this vast gambling den where I have spent more than sixty years, dicebox in hand, shaking the dice."- Denis Diderot (1713–1784) (Elements of Physiology, “Conclusion
"The gold-digger in the ravines of the mountains is as much a gambler as his fellow in the saloons of San Francisco. What difference does it make whether you shake dirt or shake dice? If you win, society is the loser."- Henry David Thoreau

Focus
lay your focus
in what you value most
in that moment
place your sight
in what you believe in
do it with Love
always try to
do your best
God will do the rest

When walking in the afternoon sun
I came across an audience of flowers
Basking on the hillside
Sitting up in the stalls
The flowers laughed and giggled
As I sneaked by feeling like an intruder
I bowed at those sitting in the front seats
Face blushing from their glares.
Little spirits of nature

Sunset
And I knew that at last I could let this day descend into oblivion
A progression of events of discontent that had torn me apart
That had presented me lifeless and full of sadness
Who dared to attack my very beauty and challenge it to a duel?
Who dared to question the Universal rules of Love
I faced my perpetrators that chewed and gnawed at my emotions
As if they were thieving wolves, feasting on every morsel of my mind
I stood back for sometime and gazed into the recess of my soul
To suddenly become aware that the day was actually a process of learning
And although I had encountered discomforts up till my awareness
My beauty was not marred, nor scathe, but full of gratefulness
I had been given the chance to apply love, and forgivness to my day
And ultimately be at peace to catch the beautiful sun setting inside my heart.
Quotes:
“If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold you head high, look it squarely in eye and say, 'I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.'”
Ann Landers quotes
My favourite
“Trouble is a part of your life and if you don't share it, you don't give the person who loves you enough chance to love you enough.”

Dusted with Dawns Beauty

The awakening of dawn opens a new chapter
Sleeping ambition comes to its close
The sun rises on the horizon of hope
Life errupts like the spleandor of a volcano
Flowers fill the air with their sweet fragrance;
Opening their petals to be embraced by the sun
Clocks tick madly in the fissures of your mind
Flashes of past problems demanding attention.
Stop in your tracks, do not miss the beauty of now
For NOW waits for no soul to decide its fate
Let your eyes absorb the visions present of passing beauty
Be in the present, presents is a gift from God
Dawning dusts the day with hope, love and beauty
“Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn! Look to this Day! For it is Life, the very Life of Life. In its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your Existence. The Bliss of Growth, The Glory of Action, The Splendor of Beauty; For Yesterday is but a Dream, And To-morrow is only a Vision; But To-day well lived makes Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness, And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope. Look well therefore to this Day! Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!”
Kalidasa quotes (Indian sanskrit poet and dramatist, 5th century ad
“The difficulties you meet will resolve themselves as you advance. Proceed, and light will dawn, and shine with increasing clearness on your path.”

Spring is here and Summer is in the air!
The photographs were taken along the Cleveland Way, Yorkshire, between Runswick Bay and Port Mulgrave. For those that do not reside in the United Kingdom ... Yorkshire is situated on the east coast of the island. There are still many unspoilt areas for people who desire to walk.
I love sitting on the clifftops pondering ... watching cloud formations ... shadows being formed
Have you ever watched how graceful a seagul flies, so elegant.
This area is know for Black Jet (Whitby Jet) You can always find little fragments of it on the beach. Black Jet is used for making Jewelery.
Sit for awhile and gaze out to sea.
